# Team

> Invite teammates to run your store with their own accounts, and manage who has access

## Overview

The **Team** tab lets you give other people access to your store with their own Waffo Pancake accounts, so nobody has to share a login. Open it from **Settings → Team** in the sidebar.

The team list shows everyone who has access to the store, plus invitations that have not been accepted yet:

| Column | Description |
| - | - |
| **Member** | Name and email. A **You** badge marks your own row |
| **Role** | Owner or Admin |
| **Status** | **Active**, **Invited** (with time left), or **Invitation expired** |
| **Joined** | When the person joined the store. Pending invitations show **—** |

***

## Roles

Every store has exactly one **Owner** and any number of **Admins**.

| | Owner | Admin |
| - | :-: | :-: |
| Run the store day to day (products, orders, customers, analytics, settings) | ✓ | ✓ |
| Invite, revoke, and remove team members | ✓ | ✓ |
| Delete the store | ✓ | — |
| Receive the store's funds and withdraw them | ✓ | — |
| Can be removed from the store | — | ✓ |

* **Owner** — the person who created the store. The owner cannot be removed or changed to another role, and the store's balance belongs to them. Their **Merchant Finance** page totals every store they own.
* **Admin** — everyone you invite. Admins work in the store with their own account but cannot delete it, and the store's funds never appear in their own finance page.

<Note>
  **Finance**, **Developer**, and **View only** roles appear in the role menu as **Coming soon**. They cannot be selected yet.

## Inviting Members

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the invite dialog">
    Go to **Settings → Team** and click **Invite member**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter email addresses">
    Enter an email address and choose a role. Click **Add more** to invite up to **5 people at once**; use the delete button on a row to remove it. Empty rows are ignored.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send">
    Click **Send invitation**. Each address gets an email with a link to join the store.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Each address is sent separately, so one failure does not block the others. If some fail, the dialog stays open and shows the reason under each row — rows that were sent are locked, and clicking **Send invitation** again only retries the rest.

***

## Accepting an Invitation

The invited person opens the link in the email and signs in to Waffo Pancake — or creates an account — **with the same email address the invitation was sent to**. They join the store as an Admin and can switch to it from the store menu.

If they sign in without using the link, Waffo Pancake shows their pending invitations right after sign-in, where they can **Join** or **Decline** each one.

If the link does not work, it has usually been used, revoked, or replaced, has expired, or was opened while signed in with a different email. Sign out, sign in with the invited address, and open the link again — or ask someone on the team to send a new invitation.

## Managing Invitations and Members

Open the **⋯** menu at the end of a row:

| Row | Available actions |
| - | - |
| Pending invitation | **Revoke invitation** — the link in the email stops working |
| Expired invitation | **Resend invitation** — sends a new email with a fresh link; **Revoke invitation** |
| Admin | **Remove from store** |
| Owner | None — the owner cannot be removed |

Pending invitations show how long they have left in the **Status** column. Once an invitation expires, resend it to give the person a new link.

### Removing a Member

Removing a member takes away their access to this store immediately, including any API keys they use with it. Their notification recipient entry for this store is deleted too. Their own account and any other stores they belong to are not affected. You can invite them again later.

<Warning>
  Admins can remove other admins, including themselves. If you remove yourself, you lose access to the store right away.
